Macob Civil Engineering has extensive experience in all aspects of construction in both public and private sectors as a traditional contractor or on a design and build basis.
Some of the projects completed include:
- The design and construction of a new highway, 1.5km long at Bridgend incorporating a roundabout on the A48, traffic controlled junction on the A473 and a bridge.
- The construction of a new roundabout on an existing dual carriageway on the A473 at Pencoed together with a bypass and the infrastructure works to service a residential / industrial / commercial development. This contract included the construction of a flood mitigation scheme involving the re-coursing of a river, the forming of storage lagoons and environmental planting.
- The construction of new bridges over rivers and the creation of underpasses.
- The major reconstruction of a section of the A48 at a busy junction in the centre of Cardiff, to provide a traffic signal controlled access to the new St. David's Hospital.
- The duelling / reconstruction of one of the main arterial roads into Cardiff where traffic management involved a contra-flow system maintaining a tidal movement of traffic at peak periods.
- The reconstruction of several highway bridges, of both pre-cast and in-situ construction.
